We owe a big thank you to our Book Fair coordinators who made this year's sale such a success. Thanks to their dedication and organization, the fair raised over $2,000 for our school and contributed 80 new titles to our library media center collection.
Did you see a book that you loved, but didn't get a chance to buy? You may be able to check it out from our library! The K-3 library teachers are starting a collaborative book review blog to give students at the three schools a chance to share their love of reading with each other. If you are part of the Primrose Hill, Nayatt, or Sowams community and are interested in sharing a book review, please submit it here: http://barringtonbookblog.blogspot.com/p/submit-book-review.html . Happy Reading! Our next meetings are coming up! Contact me at o'[email protected] if you need help acquiring copies. We hope to see you there! 3rd Grade - November 26th - "Balloons Over Broadway" 2nd Grade - December 5th - "Extra Yarn" See the flyer below for more details. Billy is worried. His new 2nd grade teacher doesn't seem to like him. His dad is struggling to find his next artistic vision. His sister drives him batty. And then there's that LUMP on his head. Despite all of his concerns, Billy is determined to make this his year. Will it truly be the Year of Billy Miller? Find out by reading The Year of Billy Miller, the latest 240 page novel by Kevin Henkes. Available in print and as an ebook through your public library. Our 3rd graders are hard at work discovering the life cycle of their chosen garden species using World Book Online. You can do your own research at home, too! Check out all of the great resources, including World Book, provided by http://www.askri.org/.
